It started with frustration. We tried countless friendship and dating apps, but none of them felt right. We were tired of scrolling through fake profiles, dodging scammers, and getting stuck in endless chat loops that never led to actually meeting in real life.

Most platforms weren’t built to help people connect — they were built to keep people scrolling. Feeds, likes, notifications, dopamine loops. Everything except real human connection. We wanted something different.

So we built the solution.

We imagined a platform where you could arrive in a new city and instantly find people to do something with — safely. A place where trust isn’t an afterthought, but the foundation.

That’s why Friending requires strict ID verification for every single member. Every profile represents a real person. No bots. No fake accounts. No guessing who’s on the other side of the screen. Just real people, ready to meet in real life.

Built for Real Needs

We don’t want Friending to be “another app where you chat endlessly.” We want the opposite. Our goal is to get you out of the app as quickly as possible.

Long-term, we imagine Friending as something almost everyone has installed because it’s there when they need it.

Imagine you’re at a beach and want to play volleyball, but you’re missing one person. Today, you’d have to give up. In the future we are building, you send a real-time request, and people nearby instantly get a push notification.
